I have been looking at https://github.com/flarum/core/milestone/3 (roadmap) and I see that it's 4% complete after several months beta 5 came out. I would suggest developers to focus on fixing bugs and making it stable. There are many issues on that link which are not really required to have a working forum installation. Focusing on many features would postpone the stable version with months and maybe years. My suggestion would be to make flarum stable enough so it hits many installations and then focus on adding new features.
