i am not sure if i am doing this correctly

the extension Newsletter is not there any more but someone told me I should make a topic InProposals requesting to get the extentiion for the newsletter added to my forum

Capp for sites hosted by FreeFlarum you will need to post on their support forum. FreeFlarum is an independent operation from Flarum.

ernestdefoe Yeah it turns out the Newsletter extension is (currently) abandoned so it's automatically disqualified from inclusion at FreeFlarum.

@wylzn (...🤔 I think) suggested @Capp could consider creating a Proposal thread here in the off chance someone with the requisite skills might either throw a phoenix down at the abandoned extension(reviving it)/or possibly even developing an alternative version.

Anomalum that was my initial suggestion; as from what i can see there is no openly available newsletter extension that works in the way he wishes

i could probably make an extension if sponsored. just be sure to write here all the details you want.

Justoverclock ok it is an extension where if you subscribe it collects your email and then every satuday the admin or owner of the site creates a "news-letter" and then can press a button on the extension that lets them send it out to the subscitbers.

Actually i Made an extension for this purpose that:

collect the email into the db
opt-in and opt-out mechanism (unsubscribe link into email footer)
admin Dashboard to send email ad html or plain text
queue support

I will post the detail soon, in this become sponsored i will release the extension with bounty., otherwise will be a premium extension.

Justoverclock Yes, please keep us posted. I use a wordpress installation on my site to manage newsletters, this capability would automate my lists.

Capp no, i mean you can sponsor the extension yourself or with bounty. In any case if this is not possible i will publish the extension as premium 😉
