New installation using Softaculous

The issue

Hello, I just installed Flarum, using softaculous.

It tells me the admin page is /public, so I go there, but when I try to access it via just the regular domain without /public, it says 403 forbidden.

I also, cannot login or anything, it says "The resource is not found", I can't create accounts, nothing.
I am also using DirectAdmin, which is basically like cPanel, so it should still work, especially if it's a softaculous install.

Post some information here like what you expected to see, but got instead. If you can find any logs in /storage/logs or in your browser console that relate to the issue, add them.

LUMI if the resource not found message pops up, it is highly likely that the rewrites aren't working and/or the htaccess wasn't added.
The admin isn't available if you're not logged in by the way.

How would one get the php flarum info if you're using a shared hosting? (I own the server and the panel if that makes it easier.) If I do have to edit something, that should be fixed before flarum is released on softaculous, as softaculous is click click install.
