I would like to propose a simple anonymous guest posting as follows:
- A new permission for "Everyone" to create a new discussion or post that needs approval
- Username would be automatically created in incremental order
-- First guest post is assigned to user1
-- Second post to user2, etc.
-- "user" can be localised to match forum language
- A captcha should be shown on post or discussion submit to prevent SPAM
This would reduce the barrier and hassle for people to sign up if all they want is to simply add to a discussion quickly without the additional fancy stuff, such as an account profile or email notifications.
Thoughts?
