Custom registration process

Hi!
I want to start a flarum board for a psychotherapist community. For this I want to customize my registration process, as I want new users to provide their certification. So only trained professionals can take part.
1) what is the best way to let people register and put them on hold? So I can let them send me their certificate via Mail and after the check I can allow them to read and answer on topics?
2) it would be better to have people use their first and second name as usernames. Is there any way possible to make this? Apart from using the masquerade plugin, that would only show the full name on their profile (I think?)

Metus24 With the FriendsOfFlarum Doorman extension, you can allow registrations only with an invitation code. You can send invitations via email.

With the Private Forum Facade extension, you can make your site accessible only to members.

With the Flarum Nicknames extension, you can use a name instead of a username.

Formulaire (paid) is able to add file uploads to the sign up modal. You could then assign a new group after the profile has been reviewed to gain access to the forum features.
