A nifty little extension that adds awesome default avatars to your Flarum forum with the Dicebear API!

Installation

Install with composer:

composer require ordinaryjellyfish/flarum-dicebear:"*"

There are 30 different avatar styles, so if you don't like one, you can always choose a different one 😉

It looks pretty cool.
But how does it actually work? I installed and enabled it, but I didn’t notice any changes...

Subarist it only works with users registered when the extension is enabled. All it does is set their avatar URL to a Dicebear generated image of your choice of style when they sign up, so any users registered before this extension was enabled won't get an image.

Every user without an avatar, no matter when they were registered, now have a Dicebear default avatar! And now, when you update the avatar style, it will apply to all of those users, unless they were registered after enabling v1.0 of the extension.

By the way, regarding the Dicebear link in the admin , you might consider opening it in a new window for easier navigation. Right now, it seems to replace the current admin, but it's not a big deal.
