Composer not installing burst-votes

I found the extemsopm https://github.com/holyphoenix/burst-votes and I am trying to install it.
I ran composer require holyphoenix/burst-votes in my root directory but I get the error:

[InvalidArgumentException]                                                   
  Could not find package holyphoenix/burst-votes at any version for your mini  
  mum-stability (beta). Check the package spelling or your minimum-stability

I tried running with the --dev flags and the --prefer-stable but same error.

Maybe it's related (i'm no expert though)

HavocK Is there a way to add it to packagist so I can install it, or just copy it to vendor?

It looks like the last commit was on Aug 20, 2015, over a year ago (same as fork time)
A lot has changed (42 commits actually) since then.

Considering it appears the user forked and never seemed to make any commits it would probably be wiser to re-fork and start again.

Kulga There's no tagged release, either, making it impossible to install via composer without flags, not to mention that it isn't listed on packagist either.

Looks like OP took your advice and put it up on packagist as well.

I forked it and am working on it now. Trying to add vote functionality to my site, will comment here if I get it working.

Kulga jordanjay29 Update. What I propose is to use the built in like functionality.
What I will do is add a new sort option, "comments", and change the "top" to sort by the number of likes on the original post (the first post in the discussion). Also, I will need to add a like button in the post list, maybe as a drop down option.
