Backstory
I'm aged 34 and have always enjoyed the use of Forums over Instant Messaging applications when it comes to information. As I have started spending more time with my hobbies and less time working (hooray) I've found myself launching a community using Flarum.
I googled for almost a week and made a list of what was out there, what I could use and how I could use it, did it fit my needs etc. After spending about $500 testing community software over the course of a couple of months I'd found myself actually landing on Flarum every time I compared.
I didn't know it at the time but I thought to myself "I hope there is a community behind Flarum" and that they have some great support, as I am not a developer of any kind but have some technical and front-end knowledge.
Well holy shit was I surprised. More than a community behind you guys!
Installing Flarum
After the first install I was amazed at how awesome it looked for a modern-day discussion board, however that description is quite an understatement when it comes to Flarum. It's much more than software to discuss with all the backing from the community, extensions and possibilities it has.
Truly it was eye opening and it was what I've been searching for to build out a great global online community.
I will forever show my eternal support towards the community in any way I possibly can, eventually will help others as I become more accustomed to all the features and possibilities. Will definitely show my appreciation with proposals and further support Flarum's development.
Appreciation ❤️
Thank you Flarum Team. Thank you developers for extensions. Thank you backers.
Thank you all a million times for this awesome slice of the internet.
