Quick Search

I know you can search by Tag with tag:Features for an example, and it'll display all discussions with the tag Features however, I'd like for this to be a lot easier because even with a "how to" guide explaining what you need to do to search, users are still asking how they can find tags that aren't listed in the "Primary Tags" section of the forum.

Two questions:

  1. Can I modify the default search functionality with Flarum to improve this?
  2. Is there an extension that allows this to happen without modifying core Flarum files?

  • gobbledegook Flarum v2 will ship with a ux for these search "gambits". There are no extensions for v1 that I know of that adds easier access to them.

      No there is none. A beta for testing purposes exists, but it's not recommended to use that in production. A lot of extensions still need to be upgraded and the core team is still working on two audits made available by the NLnet grant, for accessibility and for security. Of the former we have the report, the latter is still pending.

      Our goal has always been to release V2 this year, but we really want to have it well tested before we do that.
