User Badges: Question

Just a quick question regarding User Badges.

I've setup automatic earning of badges, this is fine however I'm also wanting our community users to select certain badges within a specific badge category.

Can this be setup at all with the default permissions structure, where I can close off some badges (users can't select them) but within a particular category, users can select / apply them manually?

Would I have to create some modifications to the extension or Flarum itself to do so?

hey gobbledegook im not sure thats possible i would love to know more but i think if it is not a badge auto earned throughj the auto moderator i dont think it can be earned any way other than being granted to by one of the forum admin

Yeah the reason being is I wanted some of my community members to select their own badges.

Whilst others remain locked so to speak (where only admins can grant them)

I guess it might be an additional feature that could be implemented into the extension itself if it were to be customised. Might have to have this done by one of Flarum's extension developers.

gobbledegook yes that may be the case try making apost inProposals and someone might be able to do it
