PHP extensions said to be missing during installation

The issue

When installing Flarum via the File Manager by unpacking the archive, I receive a warning that certain PHP extensions are missing. However, when I check my PHP configuration in the hosting control panel, all the required extensions appear to be enabled.

I’m using PHP 8.3. Please see the screenshots below for reference.

I expect to be taken to the database set up page but instead it takes me the page below.

How can I resolve this?

Majidnds if the installer says the PHP extensions are not enabled, it must mean they are not actually enabled. You could double-check by creating a phpinfo(); file and looking at the output.

Some hints:

If the webserver can be restarted, restart it
Check if there are different PHP extension settings for different PHP versions
Check if there are different PHP settings for command line and each virtualhost, even if you are not going to use SSH it's best to make both configurations match
Contact your web hosting support and give them the list of "missing" PHP extensions and your hostname and ask if they can enable them for you
