Deprecated Syntax and Fatal Error in Flarum Extensions

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering multiple deprecated syntax warnings and a fatal error on my Flarum site. The warnings mainly relate to the use of ${var} in strings, with recommendations to use {$var} instead. These warnings appear in various files of the askvortsov/flarum-pwa extension, as well as some Afrux widgets.

Additionally, I’m receiving this fatal error:

Fatal error: Uncaught Laminas\HttpHandlerRunner\Exception\EmitterException: Unable to emit response; headers already sent in /home/muttpcmr/muttiya.com/vendor/askvortsov/flarum-pwa/extend.php:41

This seems to be related to the Laminas HTTP handler runner, and it prevents the site from working properly.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve these errors—especially for updating deprecated syntax and fixing the fatal error?

Your PHP version (which one?) is likely very recent and you need to tell it to not worry about those problems 😇

The EmitterException is a consequence of the warnings not being silenced in the first place. It will go away once the PHP configuration is changed.
