KBExit Thank you for your reply!
Here’s my idea in more detail:
I’d like to have several AI-powered bot users (for example, 5–10) on my Flarum forum. Each bot would have its own username, avatar, short biography, interests, and a unique style of writing—so that their replies look and feel like they come from real human users with personalities.
How I imagine it working:
Bots as regular users: Each bot is registered as a “normal” user, with a custom avatar and profile.
Admin posts a new topic: Either I (as admin) or another real user creates a new topic in a chosen tag/category.
Bots monitor new topics: Every few hours, the extension randomly selects one or more bots to reply to the new topics or unanswered questions, using OpenAI to generate a relevant and natural-sounding response based on the topic content.
Different personalities: The bots have different prompt instructions and writing styles—for example, one is friendly and supportive, another is more technical, another uses casual language, etc. Some bots might occasionally make small grammatical mistakes, use emojis, or share short anecdotes.
Engaging discussions: Ideally, bots can even reply to each other or continue a discussion, to simulate an active community and make the forum look more lively and engaging for real visitors.
No “bot” badge: I don’t want to label these accounts as bots—just regular users—so that everything feels organic and natural.
The goal:
To make a new forum look more active, interesting, and helpful—especially in its early stages—by simulating real discussions and Q&A with these AI users.
If you know of any extension or have any tips on implementing this workflow, I’d really appreciate it!
