Last year, LESS was announced to be replaced with webpack (Sami (SychO)), because of the lack of new features of LESS's official JS pre-processors and it was abandoned for a long time. However, as of now, wikimedia/less.php is still the one of requirements for Flarum core v2.0.0-beta.3. Besides, the minimum version of wikimedia/less.php that Flarum depends on indeed only provides compatibility with Less.js v2.5.3. However, after a certain period, wikimedia/less.php appears to have resumed active maintenance and has increased its compatible Less.js version to v3.13.1. Considering these recent developments, should Flarum reconsider its stance on LESS and wikimedia/less.php? Could the revived maintenance of wikimedia/less.php justify keeping it as part of the core requirements?
