I installed Flarum on a Vultr VPS server and everything was going great... Or so I thought.
I started getting emails and texts from people saying they can't register due to never receiving verification emails.
Mind you, I did the test email in email settings and received them successfully.
Checked everything over, everything looked good. Messaged the host and they freed up Port 25. Confirmed everything on Mailgun end.
Test email goes, but notifications and activation emails never go through... Odd...
Vultr then pretty much gaslighted me saying it's my issue.
Turned the server off and purchased Namecheap VPS Pulsar. Fired up, installed Flarum, and all emails are working without any issues with Mailgun.
I understand Vultr is doing what they can to prevent abuse on their network, but this is one of other issues I've had with the host.
Go with something else.
On another note, I chose Namecheap because that's my domain registrar and I figured I'd host all my sites in a central VPS. Installed my own cpanel to save money and everything is minty.
