Realtime extension conflict with ChatNeon – delayed notifications

Hi everyone, how are you?

I recently purchased the Realtime extension for my forum (bunklr.com), but I’ve been running into some compatibility issues.

It seems to be conflicting with ChatNeon: a red error appears (as shown in the screenshot), and besides that, mentions/quote and notifications are arriving with a big delay — sometimes 10 minutes, half an hour later.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is there any fix or workaround I could apply to solve this conflict?

You're hitting hard limits that way other users aren't taxed. You have 2 options: 1) Bring this up to FreeFlarum support, they'll likely tell you that the server configuration cannot handle such request. 2) Pay for a VPS or a manged host that can configure this for you. You're going to need more resources than of what FreeFlarum can offer.

20 Cores
24GB RAM
280 NVMe SSD Storage

It's possible the extensions are simply not compatible with each other. If the realtime extension already has a pusher compatibility layer, the additional code needed might be minimal, but one of the 2 extensions will still need to be modified. If there's no common protocol, a translation layer or a completely separate adapter might need to be written.
