Blomstra Email Digest

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get a daily or weekly digest with all new discussions started in that time frame.

It looks to me like you can only get email notifications for mentions, discussions you are following etc. , and only if the frequency is set to 'Send each notification immediately'.

So far my solution is to create a group, add the users that would like a digest, and then mention that group in new discussions. Just wondering if I am missing something, and there is a more straightforward way.

katdee the Blomstra extension only bundles existing notifications together. If you combine it with the extensions that add notifications for new discussions (FoF Subscribed and/or FoF Follow Tags) you might be able to do something kind of like you describe.

I don't think we have an extension for regular summaries that aren't tied to notifications, but it doesn't seem like a very complicated feature to implement. It's mostly a problem of managing who subscribes and unsubscribes from the digest, and properly dispatching email to a potentially large number of users at once.

Thanks very much for this. It looks like the FoF extensions provide the functionality I need. I was not aware of that! I have installed them now.
