Capybara From my experience, the safest approach in migrations is not to drop and recreate tables if they already exist. Instead, it’s better to check the table and columns individually and only add the missing columns when necessary, or even leave the table untouched if no changes are required. This helps avoid data loss and makes upgrades much smoother for existing installations.

🔧 v2.0.0-beta.4 - CSS Fix

🐛 Bug Fix

Fixed: Resolved the CSS variable conflict reported by navindra

The extension was overriding root-level --control-bg which affected the hero section background color. LESS variables are now properly prefixed to avoid conflicts with Flarum core styles.

Note: The original extension by the-turk for version 1.8.x has been unpublished. Therefore, our GitHub Actions test scenario for upgrading from 1.8 to 2.x no longer works, and this is expected. Since this update only contains changes to LESS files, I'm confident there are no issues with the 1.8 to 2.x migration path.

📢 Flarum 1.x Support is Now Available!

For those still running Flarum 1.x, a compatible version is now published on Packagist.

This version is a namespace migration of the original the-turk/flarum-diff. no functionality changes, just updated to work under the huseyinfiliz package name.

Restricted Content Protection: Implemented strict query-level permission scoping in DiffResource::scope() and DiffSearcher to ensure users can only access revision histories for posts they are authorized to view, including posts in private tags and hidden discussions.
Permission-Aware Revision Access: Strengthened revision history access controls to prevent users with viewEditHistory permission from accessing histories of otherwise restricted content.

N+1 Query Elimination: Optimized revision count retrieval to eliminate N+1 queries when loading post streams with revision counters.
Request-Level Memoization: Added caching for maximum revision lookups, comparison contents, and Diff renderer instances to avoid redundant database queries and repeated object initialization when navigating revision histories.

Pure Mithril Components: Refactored DiffModal into modern, reactive Mithril components, removing the legacy jQuery dependency.
Deleted User Handling: Added null-safety checks when viewing revision differences for posts authored by deleted users.
Pagination & Redraw Fixes: Corrected offset calculations in DiffListState and replaced legacy empty post.save({}) PATCH requests with proper Mithril redraw handling.

🔄 Upgrading from `the-turk/flarum-diff` (1.x)

If you are upgrading from the original 1.x extension:

Run composer update and php flarum migrate.
Your existing revision history will be preserved automatically.

Note: Due to the namespace change, review your edit history permission settings in the Flarum Admin panel after upgrading.
