It seems Flarum 2 only does it for replies. Tried it with other posts with 0 replies.

KBExit Yes, it looks like the animation is only absent from the first post. Replies have the animation.

I did not see the animated replies before I started the discussion. I would like the option to restore the old behavior to ease the transition to v2. Configurable options are always a plus for me. I am glad to see the posts animation is still here, though.

What I can tell you so far is that it's not an intentional change but a side-effect of something changed in the technical framework how discussions are loaded via the API. We are still investigating this but it's not aProposals but a sideffect of other technical changes. I created an issue for this on GitHub: flarum/framework4334

GreXXL A remedy for this would indeed be great. I had to answer some questions on a community that runs Discourse recently and everything there is flat lol. Little details make up the overall experience.
