I think this is an excellent project that can give Flarum a new dynamic.

I can't say it enough, but it's great to see developers so motivated. Flarum is truly an awesome forum that deserves to be cherished 🙂

huseyinfiliz thank you for your great proposal and sorry for my delayed response. But I also wanted to wait on the internal call that was scheduled for today before I reply. I would really love this to become part of the official website and extension system of Flarum.

I need to explain a bit more to make my suggestion more undstandable. Currently there are two legal enteties existing - one being the Flarum Foundation (holding the Flarum Open Source project and the trademark) - which is represented by the foundations board which I am chairman of - and then Flarum BV which is the commercial entity what is represented by Daniel. He was the one who initially invented Extiverse which later became in big parts the flarum.org website. Currently the foundation is not the legal owner of the websites codebase.

The Flarum Foundation is currently working on aquiring the flarum.org website (including the extension store) from Flarum BV. This will be a legal and finincial transaction that is still being negotiated, therefore will need a bit more time.

If this all works out for all parties involved we would then be able to rework how the current website and extension store works and I would really love for you to be a big part in that! We will need more hands in making this great. For the Flarum community I think it would be greatly beneficial if this would be part of flarum.org and not run independantly as it's harder to find an more confusing for new users.

So yes I like many things that you have proposed and I would love to see this being part of flarum.org. We just need a bit more time. As I understood you, you are open to bringing this to the flarum.org an get involved. If that's true I am happy to schedule a call with you and also continue to discuss here in more detail what first changes could be and where we want to head.

Yes Flarum BV is offering premium managed hosting services and customizations. I can tell you is that the Flarum Foundation will not take over and does not plan to offer hosting services. The Flarum Foundation has the sole objective to deliver a great Open Source software called "Flarum". The Managed Hosting will certainly be going on - and it will be operating under a different name. But this is getting OT and will be something shared once things have been finally agreed on by both the Foundation and the commercial entity.

GreXXL yeah I agree. I didn't want to jump the gun and start a new topic when negotiations are ongoing but was also curious as it was mentioned.

I respect that decision and plan on raising my contribution to Flarum Foundation as I grow. I see a good future ahead and I hope you guys do too and never lose sight. You're making the world a better place every time you reply or make a commit.

The context around the Foundation, Flarum BV, and the ongoing legal process makes sense, and I understand that these things take time to resolve.

I agree that ideas like this would be most valuable as part of flarum.org rather than as a separate, independent platform. My intention was never to create something parallel or competing, but to explore ways to improve extension discoverability and clarity within the existing ecosystem.

I’m open to contributing and discussing this further, with the understanding that my involvement would be on a part-time, contributor basis rather than full-time. My work around Flarum is something I do alongside other responsibilities, so I generally prefer async communication (chat), which also tends to work better for me.

In the meantime, I’m happy to continue refining ideas, sharing concrete concepts, or gathering community feedback in this thread if that’s helpful.

Thanks again for the thoughtful reply — I’m glad this aligns conceptually, and I’m looking forward to seeing how things evolve.

I'm not sure if this would go against flarum's rules or not, but it'd be nice if there'd be a way to contact a developer directly to see if they'd be open to customized work and/or something new.

I have a suggestion, if it's possible, of course.

Not all of us are skilled at using GitHub.

It would be nice if we could report bugs directly on it. Then the developer would receive an alert. We can report bugs on forum, but sometimes we don't get a response and it's quite frustrating
