How to change the color of tag text?

Hi, apologies if Support is not the proper tag to ask such question.

In my own forum 1.8.xx, the color of the tag text is either white or black, depending on the tag background.
For example, the highlighted color is black

But I notice this forum has a nice tag text color, navy in this case "Installation" and "Migration"

I'm not able to find where to toggle this in admin's setting. Can anyone help? Many thanks!

echolocked I am going to assume your site is using Flarum 1.8.13? The forum here is using the latest dev branch on 2.x

KBExit yes it's 1.8. is tag text color a unique 2.x feature?

echolocked I am not sure, but I know the Flarum team keeps it pretty vanilla here to advertise the software as bare as it comes visually.

The text color is automatically choosen depending on your tag-color so it remains visible. Currently there is no implementation to change this other then overwriting via CSS - which of course means that it has to be changed everytime you updatae tags.

GreXXL but how come this forum is showing the color that's not available in my version? is it some new 2.x feature? (mine tag text is either white or black but this forum has navy as the picture shows)

echolocked I just spun up a test instance of Flarum Beta. I'll give this a spin and confirm / deny it.

echolocked I've played around with this and the only way I see to get that navy color is to leave the tag color the default color. Don't change it.

This is what it looks like when I create a new tag with nothing in the color field.

However, this only works on new tags. Old tags automatically fill in with a dark gradient if you try and remove it.
