Flutter-based crossplatform Flarum client.

Hi everyone, I’ve been developing a Flutter-based Flarum client named StarForum.

The goal is to provide a cleaner cross-platform experience for Flarum communities across mobile and desktop. A lot of recent work went into:

redesigned profile and settings pages
desktop split-pane navigation with preserved state
silent first-load skeleton animations
improved content rendering performance
better image loading and memory handling
personalization options like theme mode, colors, and language

It’s still under active development, so I’d really appreciate feedback from Flarum users, forum owners, and plugin/theme developers.

I've been looking for ways to make my community visible on mobile devices for a while now.

There's an extension that can help, but it's missing the most important thing to achieve my goal: creating a base app to integrate with the Google Play Store. FYI:

You can use that reference to get ideas and improve features; for example, I would add push notifications and important details like only viewing discussions you have permission to.

Your use case makes a lot of sense — making Flarum communities more accessible on mobile (especially through a proper app on Google Play) is actually one of the main motivations behind StarForum.

Thanks for sharing the PWA extension as well, that’s a really helpful reference. Features like push notifications and proper permission-based discussion visibility are definitely important, and they’re on my radar.

The project is still in an early stage and I’m actively working on stabilizing the core features first. Once things are more solid, I’ll start focusing on things like notifications and deeper integration with Flarum’s permission system.

If you have any more ideas or specific use cases, feel free to share — feedback like this is super helpful.

cubevlmu2026 I'm glad to see the feedback is well received. I have a few more suggestions I could explain in detail for the future of the extension.

Would you prefer I post them here, or is it better if I open an issue in the GitHub repository? I see there are two issues currently, but I can't understand anything without using a translator. 😄

If you ever need me to test a version you finalize, let me know. I have Flutter installed on my system and could run some tests (even better if the README is well-documented).
