About Install to "forum.domain.com"

I want to install Flarum on the subdomain "forum.domain.com". I created a Flarum folder inside the subdomain folder. Then I followed the documentation, but nothing happened, an error is shown. When I move all the files in the Flarum folder to the subdomain, it works fine. How do I configure the files for this?

forwebsite2019 If you moved the files, you need to change the domain in your config file and then run composer update to make sure everything is talking to each other correctly.

flarum doc is for install to forum.domain.com and domain.com.

forwebsite2019 in the documents, you can see that there are special rewrite procedures to get that /forum you're asking for. Otherwise, the stock install has it so you need to point the /public folder as document root, which will have the address show /public as the base domain instead: site.com

Are you wanting to install: forum.subdomain.com? or domain.com/forum?
Easiest and recommended is forum.subdomain.com as your sensitive files are completely hidden from the public.

forwebsite2019 You don't have to create a flarum folder if you do what @Karl said. It creates all the folders where they are supposed to be.

forwebsite2019 you should not be "moving" anything. You probably have it completely missed.
You need to go to wherever you're going to have Flarum installed and then run the composer command. This will populate everything you need in that directory.
Example: cd /public_html then run composer for Flarum install. Afterwards, point root directory: /public_html/public and then navigate to: forum.subdomain.com

forwebsite2019 you don't create any folders. Run the ssh command inside the directory for your subdomain and then configure your document root to the public directory that the ssh command created and then go to subdomain.domain.tdl and follow the instructions.
