luceos Big milestone and proud to have contributed a few fixes to this one. A small step for mankind, but a massive one for the Flarum ecosystem. Seeing 2.x in a state where it can be used in production, just warms my heart. Well done @IanM for your dedication, and all other contributors for being a fundamental part of this journey.
Heavenly Flarum 2.0 RC1 is finally here and it looks incredible. Huge shoutout to the team for pushing through the 'last mile' the polish and performance are next level. Can't wait to see this stable release change the game for communities everywhere! Keep up the phenomenal work! ๐ฅ
Wlork RC1 has been successfully installed on my test forum. Congratulations to all ! ๐ As for me, I wonโt be installing it on my main forum yet, as thereโs still one extension (not FoF) and a few bugs to fix here and there ๐
Wlork IanM hatโs the one extension youโre waiting for out of interest? Post bookmarks by @clarkwinkelmann My members use this extension a lot ๐
IanM Wlork hmm ok. Yes I did already open a PR with Clark for another of his extensions for a 2.x upgrade, but no movement yet, so I'm hesitant to do another one just yet.. If there's no movement soon, maybe we will consider bringing some of his extensions over to FoF and make them 2.x compatible there... Let's give him a little more time first before making any decisions on that side ๐
forwebsite2019 Has the installation documentation changed or been updated? Or can it be installed using the beta previous method? https://docs.flarum.org/2.x/install
ClaudiusH Congrats everyone in the Flarum Community for reaching this important milestone. Great to see how every contribution - big or small - helped us get this far ๐ฆธ There's a cosmetic item in admin which I couldn't really pinpoint so far. The problem is that the setting label is shown with too much vertical space while the radio label itself is closer to the label of the previous element (screenshot from fof-byobu): I've tried to highlight here in red the whitespace that needs removing and a thin green line where more space is needed (screenshot from fof-polls): I think it is caused by how setting form elements are grouped using combination of <div class="Section">, <div class="Form-body"> and/or <div class="Form-group">. And I'm not sure if this needs refactoring of each extension's forms or via general admin styling.
MichaelBelgium What, it's been 3 whopping years? Holy shit, amazing news and milestone ๐ Kudos to the whole Flarum team Now its the turn to all extension maintainers - and time to upgrade all my extensions, hopefully it's all finished before 2.0 releases ๐ EDIT: Gonna use this post as "progress tracker" so people know i'm busy ๐ Completed michaelbelgium/flarum-ai-autoreply Released as version 2.0.0 michaelbelgium/mybb-to-flarum Released as version 9.0.0 michaelbelgium/flarum-profile-views Released as version 9.0.0 michaelbelgium/flarum-discussion-views Released as version 8.0 In progress Nothing Planned flarum-lang/dutch Maybe not .. planned .. michaelbelgium/flarum-umami
stryguardian IanM Clark stated in another post that he wouldn't be doing conversions until RC1 was released. So I imagine he will begin now.
Ressme Congratulations on the release! Amazing work. Is it possible to download and install this by unpacking an archive yet?
