I think this may be a minor issue.
When opened in Photoswipe preview mode, pointer events may still reach UI elements behind the overlay. This can accidentally trigger the DiscussionListPane pin action because its controls are located very close to the preview area.
It might be worth preventing background interactions while Photoswipe is active.
