Extension for uploading system.

In falrum, fof/uploads also supported imgur before. Uploads were not uploaded to my personal server. But somehow imgur doesn't seem to work. Are there any other solutions similar to this that work with this system? Not just for images, but for all files. A free system.

FoF Upload works great for files as well. You just have to pick another template and define which file extensions you would allow.

Mirzaagha I use CloudFlare free plan. I have about 8GB of images over there currently for my forum, free of charge.

Silvestrus using FoF Upload? I would like to install it in my forum to integrate assets with CloudFlare (free).

I'm not sure if it's possible to store user avatars on R2 instead of the server where the forum files are hosted.

jslirola as of right now, avatars stay local. Realistically though, avatars should not consume too much. You'd have to have a massive forum with every single person uploading an avatar to even feel concerned... But even then, avatars are extremely minimal in comparison to other file types.

KBExit What you're saying makes sense; it's just a possibility that crossed my mind to have all the static files in one place and make the migration process a bit easier.

Although I've been hosting Flarum on servers for years, I usually switch providers every two years to take advantage of new offers and save some money.

In any case, I think the next goal will be to migrate everything to AWS and cross my fingers that the cost of the services will be lower than what I'm paying now. 😂

jslirola you're better off on R2 or anything other than AWS if you're wanting to be budge conscious.
I host multiple Flarum sites with R2 for storage and backups and pricing is minimal. And by backups, I back everything with multiple redundancies. Something that would cost me $$$$ on AWS with how much I write, store, and process.

Rclone is your friend.
