Link Robins Referral — Invite Code System
Hey everyone! I'm excited to share my latest extension: Link Robins Referral.
What it does
This extension adds an invite code referral system to your Flarum forum. Every member automatically gets a unique personal invite code. They share it with people they want to bring in, and those new users enter the code during sign-up. Simple, clean, no URL tricks required.
Features
- Unique invite codes — every member gets an 8-character code automatically, no setup needed
- Referral count badge — shows on the member's profile nav tab and profile card
- Invite-only mode — admins can require a code to register, turning your forum into a closed community
- Fully translatable — all strings are in locale files; ships with English, Korean, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese
How it works
For members:
- Go to your profile → Referrals tab
- Your invite code is displayed — copy and share it
- When someone registers with your code, your count goes up
For new users:
- Click Sign Up and fill in the usual fields
- Enter the invite code in the new Invite Code field
- Done — the referral is recorded
For admins:
- Head to Admin → Extensions → Link Robins Referral
- Toggle on "Require invite code to register" to make your forum invite-only
Installation
composer require linkrobins/referral
php flarum migrate
php flarum cache:clear
Then enable it in the admin panel.
