Wiki v1.7.1 is out. The index got rebuilt, articles can be reported now, and there is a fix in here for anyone running SQLite.
The index looks like an index. It used to be one column of full width rows, which left most of the page empty and was worst if you run the wiki in full width mode. It is a grid now and it works out how many columns fit on its own: one on a phone, two or three on a normal screen, four at full width. Nothing to configure.
Grouped by category. Instead of printing the category name on every single row, articles sit under a heading for each category. Each card shows the first couple of lines of the article, so you can tell what something is before you click it. Searching or picking a category still gives you a plain list.
A tidier article page. The line under the title used to say "by Karl, last edited by Karl" and then a timestamp, which on most wikis is the same person twice. It shows the category and the author now, with a small clock icon you can hover for the full edit detail. Edit moved into the three dot menu above Delete, and on a phone that menu stays at the top right instead of jumping above the title.
Readers can report an article. There is a Report option in the article menu. The reader picks what is wrong (inaccurate, out of date, does not belong, duplicate, or something else), adds a note if they want, and it goes to your editors. Reports arrive in a new Reports section at the top of the wiki settings page with a count of how many are waiting, and one click resolves them. Resolved ones stay behind a toggle so you can see if the same article keeps coming up. By default any signed in member can report and guests cannot, and you can change that in the permissions grid.
I could not hook this into Flarum's own Flags, by the way. The flags table keys on post_id with a foreign key into posts, and a wiki article never has a row there, so reports needed their own home rather than a change to core.
It writes to your audit log. If you use the Audit extension, the wiki now records articles being created, edited, deleted, restored and reported. Reports go to both places, so if you already live in the audit log you do not have to watch a second list. Nothing happens if you do not have Audit installed.
To update:
composer update linkrobins/wiki
php flarum migrate
php flarum cache:clear
The migrate step matters this time: it adds the reports table and the new permission.
