Attachment Advice & Cloud Upload

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a family history site with an invite-only community back end where families can talk about their family tree, upload pictures of important points in the families past, upload aural family histories etc etc etc.

Flarum came highly recommended to me and I'm loving the look, grouping functionality etc etc etc. Claude even suggested I would be able to use the S3-assetts extension. However, when I went to install it in the build I have (1.8.7) and the installer deemed it unsuitable for my particular build (perhaps because I have the stable setting for the composer)

For further information, I'm currently operating off a server running Python 8.2

Are the things I'm discussing possible presently? If so what would be the next steps? Is downgrading my version of Flarum to a 1.8.2 be recommended and where would I grab that? Should I look for another option (PressBB came highly recommended)

Help me batman, you're my only hope.

But seriously, any suggestions would be amazing.

Gareth_Gillatt you shouldn't be using old versions of Flarum at all. Use the latest 1.8 version or consider 2.x as stable is right around the corner.
Using older versions of Flarum and needed versions of extensions aren't going to mix right.
