glad to meet you all; this is my first post here 😊
I am about to start a new project and want to include a forum as a documentation, announcement, bug reporting, feature proposing and - of course - a support place for new community members. This is why I ran into Flarum and fell in love with it once I installed and checked it out locally on a docker instance. Alone the speed and performance are really breath-taking!
I saw that Flarum 2.x stable is presently about to be prepared, at least I found v2.0.0-rc.5 on Github. This is why it doesn't make sense for me to start with a vanilla installation on the latest version 1.8.17 like still explained in the docs - to go through the seven update hells of web software later on. This is why I dare to ask for a schedule when 2.0.0 final will be released: is it about hours, weeks or months (no precise date expected).
2.: As far as I understood it, Florum 1 was good to be installed without any SSH necessity. I doubt it might be like that with Flarum 2 as well: Composer capabilities might be necessary on the target server from now on as we can see this development in any other PHP projects nowadays. Are there any plans to release artifacts or one of those little helpers like .phar files for those users who are only capable to run managed hosting?
I have got a third query:
If you say it is possible to install a Flarum 2 rc now and update it later on to stable: where do I find a proper installation documentation for it?
