ecbaker209 you probably have a mismatch between your command line ("CLI") PHP version and web server PHP version.

What kind of hosting are you using? If it's managed, there should be a setting somewhere to change the CLI PHP version. Make sure the same version is used for CLI and web server.

If your host does not let you customize the default CLI version, there are ways to call Composer and Flarum CLI commands with an explicit PHP version, but the best would be to change the default version so that you can use all commands exactly as described in Flarum documentation and other tutorials.

I am on a reseller package with limitations in WHM. I will look there first contact my host if needed. Thank you

Karl

ecbaker209 in the meantime, can you submit your php flarum info ? This will confirm the mismatch.

ecbaker209 PHP memory limit: CLI: 256M

This is definitely going to be a problem, and if web has the same memory limit, then its guaranteed to be causing the issues with the extension manager.

This does not explain the cli error though. Are you sure you are running composer with the right php version?

ecbaker209

My host installed composer for me. Flarum is the only thing that I have ever used composer on. They replied to me when I asked about the php differences. I honestly have no idea what he is talking about.
