Unpopular Opinion: Flarum as CMS

Karl

Flarum can actually be used as a CMS.

I've done this in the past for several website with SMF and phpBB3. Nothing says you can't!
Something about forum softwares being slightly modified to run differently peaks my interest more than Wordpress or Ghost.

It feels like I'm doing something illegal lol.

Karl you can also make Flarum look like other forum software too. Like with my Bespoke theme I made a grid layout with primary tags acting as a forum and secondary tags acting as sub forums. If you know what you are doing or know how to instruct AI you can pretty much accomplish just about anything.

Karl

ernestdefoe there's a lot of possibilities for sure!

ernestdefoe

Karl that there are. In fact I am currently working on a theme to make Flarum look like Facebook/Twitter (X).

foros

ernestdefoe cool !!!!

Do you know how to create a Reddit clone? ??

ernestdefoe

foros can probably add that into the Cascade theme. If not I can look into building a Reddit inspired theme.
