Palette Theme — Pallet for Flarum 2.0

Hi everyone! 👋

I loved the Pallet theme on Flarum 1.x, but it doesn't work on Flarum 2.0, so I ported it. Palette Theme is a rewrite of Pallet for Flarum 2.0, built on the new frontend and on 2.0's light/dark color system.

All credit for the original design goes to @the-turk (original theme) and @MadEyeDeer, who maintained the 1.x fork (Pallet Theme New). 🙏

Features

Fixed left sidebar with a user card: avatar, badges, join date, post and discussion counts
A friendly greeting with Sign Up / Log In buttons for guests
Navigation and account links (profile, settings, administration, log out) in the sidebar, including links added by other extensions
"Start a Discussion" button in the header
On tag pages, a side menu that lists only the current tag's family (parent, siblings, children)
Card-style tag tiles on the Tags page, with a colored accent line per tag
Highlighted sticky discussions and Montserrat typography
Works with Flarum 2.0's light, dark and high-contrast color schemes
On phones and tablets the sidebar is hidden and Flarum's own mobile navigation is used
Admin setting: show or hide the sidebar for guests

Requirements

Flarum 2.0.0-rc.8 or newer
flarum/tags
PHP 8.3+

Installation

If you have the old Pallet theme installed, remove it first:

composer remove the-turk/flarum-pallet-theme madeyedeer/flarum-pallet-theme

Then install Palette:

composer config repositories.palette '{"type": "vcs", "url": "https://github.com/Soup-97/Palette-Theme-Flarum-2.0", "no-api": true}'
composer require soup-97/flarum-palette-theme:dev-main
php flarum cache:clear

Enable Palette Theme in your admin panel and you're done.

Updating

composer update soup-97/flarum-palette-theme
php flarum cache:clear

Status

This is an early release. Flarum 2.0 itself is still in RC, and I'm running the theme on my own forum. Please report bugs, especially conflicts with other extensions, on GitHub Issues or in this thread. Screenshots help a lot!
