Title: [2.0] Kindred — similar discussions (Built using AI)
Finish reading a thread on a traditional forum and there's a "Similar threads" box at the bottom, with the next thing worth reading. Kindred adds it to Flarum 2.

Each row shows the title, its tags, how many replies it has and when it was last active. When nothing is similar enough, nothing is shown: no empty box, no "no results".
How it decides
- The words that say what a title is about. Common words ("the", "best", "question") and short words are ignored, and "recipe" and "recipes" count as the same word.
- Your database does the matching. On MySQL and MariaDB it uses the FULLTEXT index Flarum already keeps on titles, so rare words count for more than common ones.
- Shared tags and recent activity move a match up the list, but neither is enough on its own.
Light on your server
- It loads once, as the reader nears the end of the thread, never on page load and never per post.
- Results are cached per discussion for six hours, and refreshed when the discussion is renamed.
- Permissions are checked fresh for every reader, so a discussion someone can't see is never suggested to them.
Settings
- how many to show (5 by default)
- leave out discussions inactive for longer than N days
- extra words to ignore (your sport, your town, your product's name)
- an optional compact copy in the discussion sidebar on wide screens

It uses your theme's colours, and works in dark mode and on phones.
