1) By default, only images are allowed? That’s what I want.
2) By using the full image template option that means there is no hotlinking protection? Unless I set up hotlinking protection another way that is.

Yes, based on the mime type regular expressions you can prevent uploading of any type.

The full image template practically includes the full image in the forum, the hotlinking protection put in place is then indeed circumvented. You could set up hotlink protection in any other way of course.

Finally, think I almost have the imgur working.... Images I upload are being attached but are not displaying in the post. Any ideas? You can see my example here:

MikeJones For those who have the same issue as me you have to have the setting "complete image preview template" selected and then it will work. Thanks, @luceos for the help in chat!

If we use imgur for uploads is there a way to see all images uploaded to my imgur account from the site? I was looking around but didn't see anything

I've been working on the forum logic recently, setting up the necessary add-ons and configuring permissions by tags. It would be useful to set permissions for adding files only for selected tags.

This could make sense, for example, in a situation where the selected tag would be used to create tutorials, the rest of the forum would not be able to upload files. Of course, theoretically, this can be solved by creating another group of permissions and limiting the uploading of files to only this group, but this is a half-way solution.

Maybe it's a good idea, which is worth implementing, what do you think?

I don't know why, but in my case i can upload files, but i can't download them because i have error
{"errors":[{"code":500,"title":"Internal server error"}]}

Mr_Big could you check storage/logs/flarum.log for more details or enable debug mode (set debug to true in config.php and try again to see the full error message ?

If you're able to, could you open an issue at https://github.com/flagrow/upload/issues with the full error message ? it will be easier for us to follow ?

I edited my php ini and changed the:

upload_max_filesize = 40M

to be huge. I then saved it to my server and check with a phpInfo file to make sure I was editing the right file. I also did a

service nginx restart

I also edit in the flagrow extension settings for 40000kb and I still get errors when uploading a 12mb photo. Any ideas for me to check?

Just checked my phpInfo page and it looks like max upload on there is still showing 2m so its not using the php.ini file. How can I force it?

Sorry for all the posts, one after another. I Just restarted my AWS server from the AWS console. It now is using the updated php.ini but still get the error:

MikeJones Nginx sounds fun, but it has so many pitfalls you have to be aware of. One of these is that Nginx also limits uploads ?

MikeJones I find apache easier to configure and maintain. But I guess it depends on what you're familiar with.
