How to bulk add users (via either SQL or API)?

I tried to add a list of ~ 30 users to my Flarum instance. I created a CSV with the same columns as in the user table. I imported the CSV into the database using Adminer. But I could not figure out how to set the passwords.

I tried various ways:

I left the password column empty - but could not login with no passwords assigned
I tried to add passwords as MD5/Hash/Encoded, but none of it worked
I tried to look up what encryption Flarum uses, probably Laravel's AES-256-CBC
I tried to set AES-256-CBC encrypted hashes using OpenSSH and the command openssl aes-256-cbc -in in.txt -out out.txt.enc but I have no clue which password I need to use, so naturally the test failed
I tried to follow the API way, as described here, but I had no luck getting a authentification using Postman (I tried it logged in in the same browser instance, and running through Postman with raw setting)

How would you approach that task? I could not find any reference in the documentation or in this forum.

Were the passwords already existing in a raw list? If the list of users came from somewhere with existing passwords, were they already hashed?

If you are already assigning passwords to these users, I think you could just add raw passwords in to the password field and then they will hashed later?

I am not sure about that. But I am curious about your use case.

If you could share any more information about the source of the users you are trying to add, then please do so.
