Shopify accounts intergration

Our website is currently in Shopify

Yesterday, it came to me that all forums softwares out there lack the most important thing for them to have large market share, which is intergrations with other platforms.

Think about Slack, Slack has been able to take market share because it conveniently intergrates with other platforms.

My question for now is, can Flarum extend intergrations beyond just Flarum, perhaps to Shopify, Wordpress, etc..?

webeindustry I get the feeling he's talking mainly about account integration, so that a user can log into the Shopify site and be automatically logged into Flarum (and vice-versa). That would certainly be useful to admins who want to use Flarum as a customer support/discussion forum for their Shopify site.

viet Wordpress has already been mentioned as a target for integration (in fact, it's listed on the Features page under "Coming Soon"). I don't think anyone has brought up Shopify yet, but it's certainly worth considering.

I'd be interested to know how you envision these potential integrations coming in shape with flarum. A part of me thinks a forum should remain a forum at it's core, yet an opposing view sees endless possibility by way of extension.

So I wonder what you mean exactly by "integrations". Can you elaborate? I think of how wordpress started as an easy to create blog platform, and how people tried to fit it into so many new roles that it transformed into a CMS.

I think keeping flarum a forum, or a venue where discussions form around a central theme is key, but that doesn't preclude integrations.

The question is... should flarum take off or does it hold a special place online as a niche for hobbyists, geeks, and the like? Isn't it okay to have a 1-3% adoption rate in an online community of a couple billion or so?

Yeah by intergrations, I mean an user/customer of a company only likes to have one account for the whole company experience. Minimalise the number of accounts an user have to create is key to not drive people away from the company.

One company that does it well is Envato, they make Discourse login via Envato account, so users don't have to register a new account.

Also, as many people use LastPass these day, there is a tendency to have different password for different websites. If I use mainsite.com and forums.mainsite.com with 2 different account, it's very frustrating.

Wouldn't it be nice for a forum software to intergrate with the followings:
- Wordpress
- Shopify
- Magento
- BigCommerce
- WHMCS

I'm sure the adoption rate for Flarum would be huge if you guys first target e-commerce sites, because merchants often think it's more convenient for users to have one account everywhere.
