Trouble configuring flarum with mailgun

Hello,

So i wanted to setup mailgun to work with my flarum forum...so I created an account and verified my sub-domain and then went to the admin cp amd entered all the credentials in the email section.....but it doesn't seem to work cuz when i test it by sending myself a password reset email, it takes time then gives me the "oops! Something went wrong....." And there's no debug option even tho its enabled in config .... So what am I doing wrong? Can i send anyone of you the screenshot of all tye credentials I entered and see if anything is wrong?

You should most definitely get a debug button when you enabled it in config, can you post that part of the config? Also try:

php flarum cache:clear

You need to change your 'mail_driver' to smtp, that's the problem I had.

ShadowArmadyl i followed the guide exactly how it mentions how it's supposed to be done but still nothing

luceos found the issue with debug, when I changed the value to "true" I forgot to save it XD one second while I enable debug and post what it says here ?

Its some problem with Mailgun or Flarum, I also faced the same issue and then finally use my own server mailserver to send mails.

No. It's a problem of your server. I did something like ~30 flarum installations on a lot of different hardware and it was all the time a server problem if mails didn't work as expected.

But we are seeing too many threads relating to email issues, its mean something is not fine or its difficult for new one.

[deleted] can you check that everything is green on your domain, especially the "domain verification & dns" part? Also if you don't have ssl on your domain set under "Security Settings For Outgoing Mail":

Certificate Verification to not required

krakmh flarum (just like any other php application using packages) is only applying for a request to send e-mail. Whatever you configured is supposed to handle it. There are plenty of reasons why this is not working, but none of them relate to Flarum. Here are some pointers:

Your server or hosting provider is firewalling outgoing data on the mail ports
Mailgun is not configured properly
Flarum is not configured properly
Your dns records are not configured properly
Your mail client or mailgun is marking your mail as spam
The ip of your server is marked as a spam ip.
