I often send direct links to my non-public forum via email. When the recipient is not currently logged in and clicks on the link, she will see a 404. She then reports back, that "the link does not work". She does not know that she first needs to log in and click on the link then.
What I would expect: When not logged in you would see a page saying "Access restricted, please log in".
Is there any way to get this behaviour? I'm using the .htaccess that ships with the default installation.
