You create it inside of sites-available and symlink it to sites-enabled. It's not an existing file.

So i created a new file under sites-available but when i restarted it failed to restart. Heres my creativethoughts confg file but now i am not able to restart without multiple errors

1). You are missing index.php under the root configuration:

Should look like this (at least)

# Add index.php to the list if you are using PHP
index index.html index.htm index.php index.nginx-debian.html;

2). I normally remove default_server so that I can allow for multiple domains and be mindful that you can only have ONE default_server throughout your Nginx sites-available files/configs.

Don't restart without nginx -t that should give you a brief error, but you can check syslog for more details. Unlink from sites-enabled, restart to get your webserver back up, then nginx -t with it back in place.
