AbubakarLawalAlawAbula Can you identify the extension that causes it? Disable one and refresh the page to see if the behavior persists. If not, disable the other, and then see if it's back to normal.

Once we know which extension is causing it, we can more easily pinpoint the problem.

The extensions take part of the textarea space, the textarea has a html style height set, i think if i can edit the value it will fix the problem, but cant find it in core

The emoji and upload extensions should not cause problems like that, because they are added to the post edit controls. I suspect the markdown editor messes with the height of the editor.

Do what jordanjay29 says to find which extension is the problem. If the emoji picker is at fault, I'm happy to take a look ?

Does the issue also happen when you try to reply to a post here on Flarum Community Forum using your mobile?
Please try changing your custom keyboard to your phones stock keyboard and see if it helps.

See how they compare? You got 7 lines for your keyboard then add another line for the editor and another line for the emoji / preview / upload ; whereas , my keyboard uses only 5 lines.

Update:
So I am now able to reproduce the issue. It does not occur when editing a post. Occurs when user tries to create new post using Mobile. As you can see from the screenshot below, having the Emoji/Upload extension and having the Byobu and having the SimpleMDE extension takes up all the screenspace on the phone:

It looks much better when the SimpleMDE extension is removed.

Would be nice if you could chose to collapse the header information or if it auto-collapsed after info was entered.
And/or have the icon for the Editor be on the same line as the emoji / upload, and be able to swipe the options to the left.

I believe its the onscreen phone keyboard that causes the issue. It happens to me, I also have emoji and SimpleMDE extensions.

I will try to isolate the extension. However, for me, I just hit the Androids back button to make to the keyboard disappear if I need to review my text, but typically I just type away.

Edit, I am unable to reproduce the issue at this time. I am using an Android S5 to test, it might be useful to also mention the keyboard app used on the phone? I am using NextApp Keyboard. I have SimpleMDE and Emoji and Upload extension enabled.

I did notice OP behavior prior, not sure if its related to the browser on my phone or not. I will update this post when I find out more.

I think this was bound to happen. Every extension reserves a spot on your editor/composer. The more extensions the more bloated the experience.

I've also noticed with Byobu that somehow, in some situations, the recipients placeholder is pushing everything away. As if the design of core reserves a certain width for title spacing.

A solution perhaps would be to strongly suggest to extension developers to make a setting configurable in the likes of: "Also enable additional buttons on the composer box on mobile".

Maybe it's possible to transform the 'choose tags' and 'recipients' lines to roll up menues?
Also: the editor extension could be enfolded in a line (similar to the mockup above) when clicking/swiping on a symbol.

The Tag and Recipients should have been on the same line IMO.
