Hello, I've got Flarum installed on a Digital Ocean droplet. It's a 1gb droplet with Ubuntu 16.04.
I used the webeindustry script to install Flarum and enabled the site (sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/sitename). Everything works fine up to here: I can access the forum, log in as admin etc.
Unfortunately I run into the following problems:
1. Whenever a new user tries to sign up, the following message pops up: "Oops something went wrong..." However you can log in with the newly registered user, you just have to confirm your account.
2. this brings me to the next problem: the email never shows up. I've tried two different smtp mail settings/email accounts: gmail and my domain host (df.eu - domainfactory).
I used the following settings:
Driver: smtp
Host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Encryption: ssl
Username: myusername@GMAIL.COM
Password: mypassword
Sender: noreply@mysitename
Maybe the sign up problem is caused by the email problem? Did I install Flarum correctly? I put in "localhost" in the first field during installation.
