Excellent Software

In the mix of complaints, suggestions, and requests posted here I wanted to just point out what an amazing job you guys are doing!

I have yet to try Flarum out for myself as I'm waiting for a release with an installer(I don't like using composer).

But the forums look and function amazingly well, the ideas are well thought out.
I've been searching for a new forum software for a while now. IPB is too exspensive, Xenforo used to be the leader in modernization of forums but has fallen severely behind. Most other forum software rely to heavily on older traditional forum styles, others are moving too far away from traditional. Flarum seems to have found an excellent location in-between old traditional, and modern technology.

It's fast, with few page loads, has awesome features(Such as the sliding sidebar with other topics in the current category while you are viewing a topic) and looks great too!

I'm very excited for the first release with an installer, is there any email subscription I can sign up for to notify me of future releases?

RE other forum software: I tend to agree, but Xenforo 2.0 is starting the be shown off and I think that looks like a nice improvement. I think the lawsuit those guys had really held them back. Xenforo is still probably my favorite paid software.

In the free forum software area though, this really stands head and shoulders above everything else I have seen, and still has more of a modern look than even the paid forum software's. Really is a good job.

Martin I actually prefer ipb over xenforo, I did buy their license a while back but what turned me away from them is when your license is up you can't download or get your license key from them, so if you don't have a copy saved somewhere you're out of luck, at least xenforo let's you use the last version you paid for.. I just can't understand why a company would let you buy something but not provide it after your subscription is up(the version you paid for anyway)

You've summed up everything in your first post. I've literally got the very same (if not similar) opinion about XenForo and IPB. They're awesome software, don't get me wrong, but Flarum is just a whole other level at the moment.
