MantasKantautas some PHP extensions are missing on your server. Have a look at the requirements here: http://flarum.org/docs/installation/#system-requirements

For future issues, please also post the command you ran to get an error ?

I though it was obvious that I ran the command that is suggested in the documentation. "composer create-project flarum/flarum . --stability=beta"
Checked the missing extensions, but still getting the same error upon installation.

MantasKantautas You still need reboot apache (server reboot would work as well) to make the changes take effect.

Well it was on a share hosting where no manual server restarts are needed. Anyway the problem is resolved, turns out I've managed to miss checking one of the required php extensions... Everything is working. Thanks for the help!
