500 Error on dis/enabling extensions via admin

I tried:

composer update
composer update antoinefr/flarum-ext-money
php flarum cache:clear

I tried enabling and disabling the extension. It still stuck on 0.30.
I had to remove and re-require the extension in order for it to update.

composer remove antoinefr/flarum-ext-money
composer require antoinefr/flarum-ext-money

Dunno if its just me. I am also unable to uninstall an extension from the flarum admin panel. I get a 500 error. So I just use composer.

Uninstalling an extension is not supported in Flarum, because it does not change the composer file and does not run an update. This is a known shortcoming at this point.

I split from the Money Extension discussion as this is more of a support issue. Do you have debug enabled so we can see the exact error message?

Ive never been able to remove extensions from within the extensions page. I thought this was just common.
Debug is enabled, when I click on 'Debug' that when it says 500 error.

I think maybe its because I installed flarum using webeindustries install script as root/sudo?
Maybe www-data does not have permissions to uninstall the extension?

Edit: Would the browsers console response and request headers be helpful?

Not common at all.

If there's a console error, that could help. I think you should also look in your server logs, located at /var/log/apache2/error.log or /var/log/nginx/error.log depending on Apache or Nginx. Try to find the corresponding error and paste in the trace here (remove any incriminating information that might show up).

Dang it, I should have been checking that log file from day 1.

I remember reading on this board about some of these errors too.

Thats what I thought. Thank you. Perhaps @jordanjay29 mistook what I meant by common issue.

What I was trying to do was Uninstall an extension from Flarum Extension Window, since enabling and re-enabling did not register the new version.
It wasnt until I used composer to remove the extension and then re-enable it, that it took the update.
I also noticed this behavior on the Money Extension.

SInce installing Extensions from within Flarum Admin is not possible, I correctly assumed that uninstalling would also no be available.
