Wiki post style? Like in Discourse?

Hi,
I'm french, be kind with my writing. ?
I'm looking for a forum to install to a little community of people in a neighbourhood, less than 1000 users. I'd like something modern, like Discourse or Flarum. I'm not decided yet.

I'd like to know if there is a way in Flarum to do the "wiki post" thing as in Discourse. A post editable by everyone, pinable at the top of the discussion. Does it exist in Flarum?

You could make a tag called wiki and allow everyone to edit posts

Seraph You first have to create the tag in the Admin CP and then modify/add a group in the Permissions section and base it off on a tag level.

I created :

a group of users named "wikigroup"
a tag named "wiki"

In the rights administration, I imagine I must configure the line "Edit your messages". But that line is changeable only for the general group users. I can't adapt for the other groups.

So, how it works? ?

Finally, I believe it's only needed a tag "wiki" but no group "wiki". And configure permissions for the "wiki" tag to "Edit and delet posts" by Members.

Here is how I managed the rights for my wiki tag : members can "Edit & delete posts".

But it doesn't work. Why ? Is that a bug ?

It seems that applying the wiki tag on a topic make all the posts of the topic wikiable.
That's not exactly what we want.
And until now, it just doesn't work.

What do you want exactly?

If you assign a tag with edit rights, all posts with this tag can be edited as expected.

I think he means only the opening post should be editable by everyone. At least that is what I want.

Additionally, revision history is necessary for our forum to prevent vandalism.

(And a revision history should be useful of course.)

At the beginning of the topic, i've been said it's possible with a wiki tag and appropriated rights. Is that really possible ?

I do not think it is possible at the moment – the permissions do not discriminate the opening post. Issue on flarum/core should be probably opened.

@Seraph what you want is just imposssible with Flarum at current state. To achieve that functionality, it will require something like a Wiki extension but... it don't exists at the moment.

Maybe you should migrate to Discourse or NodeBB, since they are stable and with good amount of plugins.

Well, for now, I've chosen flarum, I prefer to support it, I like the project. But I know it's not stable yet. I hope it will be soon… ? I hesitated with discourse, but finally I choose to try the adventure. I'll see later how big it's stupid. But well, I sometimes still doubting.
