Installation Help For Non-Developer?!

The installation steps as stated on this page seem as easy as one, two, and three, but they aren't I suppose. 🙁

Few important pointers

I want to run Flarum on a website at, say, www.example.org/forums.
I have my website hosted on a shared server.
I have no knowledge about code, but that won't stop me from trying to install and get Flarum up and running.
If you can help, then it will be great. Many thanks!

What I did so far

I installed Vagrant and VirtualBox on a Windows 7 PC.
Yes, that's it.

Now??? What am I supposed to do?

Can anyone with experience in installing the Flarum on Vagrant & Virtual Box please chime in?

krsna Scratch everything you did. That code is old. First Flarum beta will be released within a week or so.

christicehurst Lol, I amn't. 🙂 I have already asked a couple of dev friends who are ready to get their hands dirty to install this beautiful piece of software. But folks here who have already installed it will be able to point me in the right direction.

krsna quit being impatient and wait for the beta release like everyone else. You wont get anywhere begging for it like a lost dog needing food. Pretty sure if you install it now you'll be missing critical updates and features, as long as possibly quite a few bugs.

Well if you want to run the prealpha software that isn't ready for production environments have fun. While everyone else is using a working system with few to little bugs you'll be scratching your head wondering what the hell to do.

You do realize that the code you see on github is far from the version that is actually running this forum right? It's not going to be nearly as feature complete as this is. I would put it at maybe a 15% functionality comparison to the current code that is actually "the beauty" that you see here.
