Is there a feature or setting to impose auto logout after a certain period of inactivity?

There's no real "auto logout" I believe.

But you could have a look at the cookie lifetime https://github.com/flarum/core/blob/master/src/Http/CookieFactory.php

By default there's a remember me cookie as well so you should disable it of you want to force auto logout. I wouldn't recommend it, that's a very useful feature on trusted devices.

Auto-Logout would be an urgently needed feature! Currently the login expires after some time, but the user does not see it. He just sees, that there are no discussions any more in the forum. Just as anyone had deleted all threads. Also his username is still displayed on the top right. He has to manually log out and log in again.

There are two possible solutions: Make the admin able to define an auto logout or let the login never expire.
