Moving installation to a different server

Hi,

I am very new to Flarum and I want to set up a "staging/test" server first in my own lab and "design" my forum there. How hard is it to move the whole thing to a different (public hosting) server when I am done? Or is this too much of a hassle and I would be better off by just installing a new instance?

It's not difficult. Run a vanilla installation on your new server, transfer the SQL database, and composer.json if you do custom extensions. We can get you there when you're ready, just know for now that it's not a big deal if you're okay with using a terminal to run a few commands.
