Scalability of Flarum

Well, if there are 10000 users accessing forum and forum has around 1 lakh threads, will it perform smoothly ? Or any special measurements we need to take care ?

kishoresahoo If you really had a forum with 10,000 concurrent users I'd recommend hiring someone qualified rather than ask a community forum. The issues you get at 10,000 users are completely different from those you get at 100 users. It's like saying "hey, iOS works great on my iPhone, maybe I should use the same OS on my 10,000 CPUs cluster."

If you're going for such traffic I expect you to have a solid op team and very good infrastructure ?

When you speak about 10000 users I'm thinking about stuff like this: http://stackexchange.com/performance

We've seen Flarum performing well along other popular Forums. But at this scale, the software alone is just a small part. You will probably need load balancers, multiple web servers and maybe database replication ?

Flarum can perform well on low-end instance with a good amount of users and posts, based on our users tests.

I started working on Dev Tools to test performance based on a few factors. Using a network stresser script I am also building into the Dev Tools, it will be able to emulate traffic based on either the amount of users in the database or a custom amount of packets to be sent to see how well your server can take a certain amount of traffic.

Also, with using Faker, anyone will be able to generate fake users and discussions on the fly, it's going to be BEAUTIFUL!

I would think something like this can work.

I won't recommend Flarum for a such a large scale, established forum. Mainly because it is not stable, yet.

Flarum is not different to any other PHP Application. IF you are going to support 10.000 concurrent users, you will need multiple servers, a load balancer and a reverse proxy cache like Varnish.

I'd say get Locust running to simulate tests, I'm actually trying that now.
